Full Stack Developer

About the role

This role builds the applications and APIs that connect HurryPay's merchant interfaces, mobile products, and payment terminals. You will work across backend services and front-end experiences, with particular care for secure data handling, observable systems, stable integrations, and dependable business operations.

What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Build responsive merchant and internal interfaces in React.
• Develop versioned APIs used by mobile applications and payment terminals in the field.
• Model and manage data in PostgreSQL with careful migrations, integrity controls, and query performance.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, validation, auditability, and secure error handling.
• Package and run services with Docker and contribute to reliable deployment and release practices.
• Add automated tests, structured logging, and monitoring that make production issues easier to diagnose.
• Work with mobile, product, design, and operations teams to deliver complete merchant workflows.

What you bring

• Professional experience with Python and Django, including Django REST Framework.
• Strong React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals.
• Practical PostgreSQL knowledge and confidence designing relational data models.
• Experience building secure REST APIs and integrating external systems.
• A testing, debugging, and code-review discipline suited to business-critical software.
• Clear communication and the ability to own work from design through production support.

Experience that will help

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or point-of-sale platforms.
• Knowledge of JWT or OAuth, asynchronous processing, caching, and API observability.
• Experience operating containerised Python services behind a production web server.

Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
